Context of the role
BDO Consultancy is recruiting for an apprentice Business Administrator to join our London Office. Initially you will be supporting internal initiatives, based in London and much of the work will be remote at first due to the pandemic. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter to join an innovative, fast growing IT and Management Consultancy organisation, working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and engaging with different business functions within the organisation and interacting with internal or external stakeholders.
- Working across teams and resolving issues as requested.
- Show initiative, managing priorities and own time, problem-solving skills, decision-making and the potential for people management responsibilities through mentoring or coaching others.
- Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
- Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
- Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation’s procedures
Skills
- Demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills.
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation.
- Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
- Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way.

- Uses the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively.
